Ivy jumped from the balcony, landed on a branch of a giant-sized tree seated beside. Looking up through the leaves, she could make out the shape of Jenny, looking all over the places. She smiled and continued her way down with skillful and confidence steps. Feet on ground, she steadied herself with knees bent. She glided along the walls and disappeared into a dark alley. Her hands searched in the darkness for something. It took her only seconds to find a switch on the walls. She pressed it hard and a part of the wall ahead of head cracked, made a tiny cracking with the silence around her. Slowly moving upward, a path revealed. She made her way in with ducked head and released the switch. The ‘door’ closed behind her slowly as the pressure on the switch lightened.
Lights flickered on when the ‘door’ closed tightly without a single gap behind her. She continued all the way and reached a junction. She turned to her right and saw a room. Fishing a key inside her pockets, she inserted the key into the lock below the handle while trying to catch a glimpse of shadow behind but saw nothing. The key fitted in perfectly and turned with a slight force. A click sounded. She stepped into her room and locked it from within. She put the key on a table and turned on the desk lamp at a corner. The lamp came to life and covered the room with bright light. A book was placed in the centre of the table, a single bed placed near the desk. She sat down on the chair in front of the table and flipped open the pages of the book. It was her journal. Recorded all her researched results and the journeys she been through. She opened a drawer on her right side and took a pen.
She started to write, ‘4th of May, Saturday. I finally found one of the key holders! Her name was Jenny, the only daughter of a noble family. She was the key holder of Water, and owned the key, Sapphire Staff. It seems I am one step closer now. I had been searching the international libraries about Ruby Prism, Prism Palace and its location. So far I only know it was located in one of the island in Pacific Ocean. Tomorrow I will search more about it. Signed, Ivy. Time: 3.45a.m.’ She rested the pen and flipped closed the book. She rested her back flat on her back and stared at the ceiling. A voice kept echoed in her mind, “Ivy, listen to me… You… you must stop… stop the Ruby Prism from activating… It… it will… will destroy the whole… whole mankind… She… She must be stop… You are my… my only hope… Please… Pro… promise me… “The voice tailed away. Ivy closed her eyes, replayed the voice in her mind. Yes, she must stop her.
